Put on by The Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM), MAMM SLAM allows teen bands and solo performers (singer/songwriters and DJ’s) to compete in showcasing their songwriting, performance skills, web presence, marketing and other aspects of being a professional touring and recording musician.

Winners have a crack at $1000, sponsored by the Rusty Rocket Foundation, along with coveted recording time, radio appearances, plum gigs, a tour of Gateway Mastering, and professional marketing direction. will oversee the judging of the competition.
