Leslie Bridgers

After a decade reporting on the news of Portland's suburbs, Leslie is excited to let loose on MaineToday, where the scoops are more ice cream, less scandal -- much like her life. After hours, you can find her reluctantly covering right field for the company softball team, bowling a straight ball at Bayside or wandering down from Munjoy Hill in search of food and drink.

The Doug Quaids

Casco Bay High School
Thomas Shadis (guitar, vocals), Aidan Carter (drums) and Simi Kunin (guitar)

The Doug Quaids seek to continuously refine their sound and remain involved in the local music scene. Frontman Thomas Shadis’s songwriting consists of satirical criticisms of American culture and classist ideals. Influenced by the music of artists such as the Black Lips, Pixies, Velvet Underground, and Thee Oh Sees, the Doug Quaids hope to take to the streets of Portland and continue the legacy of the longstanding DIY scene.
