Vox Nova Chamber Choir, a Midcoast ensemble that presents modern and contemporary vocal music, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church, 39 Pleasant St., Brunswick; and at 3 p.m. Sunday in Studzinski Recital Hall at Bowdoin College, also in Brunswick.

“Agnus Dei: Soul’s Crossing” will feature works by Francis Poulenc, Krzysztof Penderecki, Egil Hovland, Ola Gjeilo, Jaako Mäntyjärvi and Eric Whitacre.

Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door.

Shannon Chase and Karen Topp founded Vox Nova in 2009. It champions modern and contemporary choral music, and typically performs an a cappella repertory. It also collaborates with soloists and instrumentalists.
