St. Paddy's Day hikes & brews

The almost-national holiday of March 17th falls on a Monday this year, making it possible to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day for an extended weekend.

But before all the revelry, make a plan to get outside for a proper hike each day, ideally somewhere in the vicinity of an Irish pub. Then you can duck in later on for some well-earned refreshment after chasing leprechauns and unicorns along the wooded trails.

Read more about some great hiking options around Maine that are not too far from an Irish pub in my latest hiking column in the Outdoors section of the Maine Sunday Telegram. And remember: Please hike and drink responsibly!
