Convincing a Brooklyn resident to move to Maine

This lovely Brooklyn resident was in town visiting friends who live on Peaks Island. We talked at length about the inner turmoil of loving Maine and living somewhere else. I took the leap over four years ago now and it remains one of the smartest decisions of my life. Though I get a kick out of stopping people to talk about what they’re wearing, I also love to get their story. There’s always a good story!

Her dress was a flea market find. An oversized silhouette belted at the waist looks good on everyone and creates such a great shape. Plus, there’s plenty of breathing room if you plan on eating a big meal. I tend to dress around meals. Her bag was an impromptu purchase from Madewell.

Now move to Maine already!
