August is historically a great month for street style

The very first time I met Ashley from Sweet William, she was just popping up in the blogosphere. Now she remains a trusted stylist, SwapMaine member and friend.

That month was also the first time I ever met Laura from Sweeter Salt. Another close friend whose style is constantly inspiring me.  Who knew street spotting would bring me so many friends?!

These girls were in town visiting for a birthday. I told them they looked like a girl group. And I still love that feathery tiara thing in her hair.

These MECA students were actually moving out to San Francisco and leaving Maine. I wonder if they ever returned? I remember trying to convince them not to go, but I doubt they heard my pleas.

Okay now I’m sensing a trend. Apparently feathers were very big in August 2010 — in the hair, on jewelry. I did love the mix of jewelry that this girl wore.

Do you guys remember any of these spottings from back in the day?
