A perfect weekend uniform – and some DIY inspiration

This was one of those weekends that couldn’t possibly warrant a complaint. The skies were clear, the air was crisp and downtown Portland was bustling! I met Rosie, a USM student, while she was feeding her meter on Commercial Street. I love any kind of camo print incorporated into an outfit and thought the patches on her denim top could be a great DIY for me to try on an old chambray shirt.

As you can all probably tell from all the “shoe shots” I take, I’m very interested in what people wear on their feet. Rosie’s studded boots were the perfect style; not too studded but just embellished enough. Since it’s hard to find a pair that gets it just right, this could serve as another DIY project if you’ve got an old pair kicking around. This tutorial looks pretty easy.

Thanks to the beautiful Rosie for inspiring a few upcoming projects! Have you guys done a great fashion DIY lately? If so, I’d love to see!
