America loves a good food fight. Witness the popularity of TV shows like Food Network’s “Chopped” and “Cutthroat Kitchen,” Bravo’s “Top Chef” or NBC’s “Food Fighters,” whose premiere on Tuesday at 8 p.m. features chef Michele Ragussis, of The Pearl in Rockland.

As much as we like to watch these competitions from the comfort of our living rooms, it’s even more fun to watch a good food fight live. You’ll have a chance on Saturday, Aug. 2, when Maine specialty food company Stonewall Kitchen hosts “Battle of the Food Trucks” at its headquarters, 2 Stonewall Lane in York. And it’s FREE, as long as supplies last.

Here’s how the battle works:

Each food truck will provide small bites featuring Stonewall Kitchen products. Attendees will vote for which one they like the best and the truck with the most votes will win a prize from Stonewall Kitchen.

While the “battle bites” are free, the food trucks’ regular menu will also be available for purchase. Giveaways and a raffle — a large basket filled with new Stonewall Kitchen products — are also included in the event.

Participating food trucks are:

CN Shawarma
Finest Kind Tea
Fishin’ Ships
Mainely Burgers
Urban Sugar Cafe
Wicked Good Street Kitchen
