Holiday dining guide: Maine restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Whether you choose a formal, white tablecloth dinner, cheeseburger, egg rolls and stir-fries, French cuisine or Italian fare, Maine restaurants are open and ready to serve you on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For most of the following, reservations are recommended. Check back for updates.


The Brunswick Hotel and Tavern

Christmas Eve: Open regular hours serving regular menu.
Christmas Day: 3-course menu served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; entrees include lobster Newburg and roasted turkey roulade, with figgy pudding among the dessert options. Adults $49; seniors $42; kids 12 and under $28. Special kid-friendly menu available.


Hartstone Inn

Christmas Eve: Seatings begin at 5:30 p.m.; prix-fixe, 5-course menu beginning with Maine lobster and winter squash risotto  and ending with gingerbread souffle, $55.
Christmas Day: 5 p.m.; prix-fixe, 5-course menu beginning with rosemary seared lamb chops and ending with eggnog souffle, $55.

Natalie’s at the Camden Harbour Inn

Christmas Eve: Open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., serving regular menu options, including 3-course prix-fixe menu; 7-course chef’s tasting menu and 5-course lobster tasting menu. Also offering lighter fare at the bar.
Christmas Day: 5-course Christmas Celebration menu, with seatings at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.; vegetarian option available for each course; $85 per person.


Sea Glass at Inn by the Sea

Christmas Day: Reservations for the historic inn’s annual Grand Holiday Buffet are all taken – and there’s a waiting list. But the inn’s casual and cozy Broad Arrow Tavern is open and serving its regular, a la carte menu from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. No reservations.


The Kennebunk Inn

Christmas Eve: Open from 4 to 8 p.m. with an a la carte menu that includes special holiday entrees, items from the restaurant’s regular menu and their signature lobster pot pie.

Stripers Waterside
