Some of Maine’s most beautiful (overlooked) places

Mainers tell you how it is. So when we wrote the post 25 of Maine’s Most Beautiful Places, we knew you’d have something to add. And boy did you (and we’re glad). Recently, we combed through the 242 comments on the article and rounded them up into a word cloud. The biggest words are the most frequently recommended places. For the most part, these omit the 25 we listed (what can we say, some people really wanted Popham and Baxter listed higher on the list).

Gorgeous Maine spots

Maine’s a beaut. Ain’t no doubt about it. She’s smart, too, and has quite the personality, but we can’t help stopping to stare at her rocky coast, cascading falls, and miles of mountaintops. No matter where you go in this state, there’s something unique to gawk at. Take a look:
