SWAPmaine Announces Holiday SWAP Soiree December 5
Proceeds Benefit Goodwill Industries of Northern New England

PORTLAND, MESWAPmaine is back just in time for the holidays! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 5 for the first ever SWAPMaine Swap Soiree – a smaller, evening swap complete with hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a curated selection of clothes and accessories. All proceeds and leftover clothing and accessories will go to Goodwill Industries of New England. The swap will take place at the Mariner’s Church Banquet Hall in Portland (368 Fore Street, third floor).

Unlike past swaps, organizers are requesting the attendees bring five high quality pieces as opposed to a larger bag of clothes and accessories. Suggested items include name brand clothing in excellent condition, gently used vintage, clean shoes and bags, and jewelry. The event will feature ladies’ clothing and accessories only.

“Think small this time and bring some of your best stuff. In return, you’ll leave with five amazing new items that you will love,” said Laura Duplissis, SWAPmaine organizer.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for clothes to be dropped off and swapping begins promptly at 7p.m. Come early and peruse the curated holiday boutique that will feature vintage jewelry and accessories at reasonable prices, and enjoy cocktail at the cash bar with delicious complimentary hors d’oeuvres.

Tickets are $20 each and are available here. More information is available on swapmaine.com. Tickets are limited and must be pre-purchased (no walk-ins will be accepted). Early purchasing is encouraged.

SWAPmaine was organized by a group of Portland bloggers who knew a city-wide swap was in dire need. The organizers behind the swap are Alexandra Munier (Broke207), Laura Serino (Fore Front Fashion), Ashley Jordan (Sweet William), Laura Duplissis (sweeter salt), and Kate Sullivan Jones (Sweet Disorder). With the support of Goodwill of Northern New England the swap has become a reality. Goodwill isn’t just a sponsor, they’re also the recipient of all the proceeds and leftover donations.
