Free show at Urban Farm Fermentory with Clara Junken and Beevermccain tonight

I am pretty much over this week and ready to ease on in to the freakin’ weekend. If you’re looking to blow off some steam, kick up your heels, and have a ton of fun this evening, here are some spots to check out this Thirsty Thursday!

Starting things off with a show up in Boothbay Harbor this Thursday at McSeagulls where two talented singer-songwriters will be performing this evening. Starting at 6 o’clock you can check out soulful singer Lisa Donnelly as well as special guest local musician Ryan Halliburton.

Check out some talented singer-songwriters over at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in Portland where local musician Heather Styka will be sharing the stage with touring artist Pat Hull for a night of music and merriment. This evening’s free event gets underway right around 6 o’clock.

Check out acoustic, duet-based act Saved and Sound tonight at The Frog and Turtle in Westbrook. This talented team of music makers will be playing tunes starting at 8 o’clock, so be sure to check it out if you’re in the area this evening.

Two great local acts will be performing together at an early evening show at the Urban Farm Fermentory in Portland this Thursday. Beginning at 7, swing through and check out songs from guitar-vibraphone duo, Beevermccain, as well as the lovely and talented Clara Junken and her band. This should be a great time filled with some great tunes, so don’t miss out!

If you find yourself hanging out in the Biddeford/Saco area this Thursday, take in some of the best roots, rock, an country music around at The Run of the Mill on Main Street in Saco where Cattle Call will be playing some songs starting right around 8 o’clock. Tonight’s show is absolutely free, so grab some pals and check it out.

Gingko Blue on Fore Street in Portland invites one and all to come on in this Wednesday evening for some stellar sounds courtesy of Octane. Octane is a group of individuals brought together by local musician Mike James Hayward to recreate jazz and swing standards through Hayward’s own unique interpretation of the genre. There’s never a cover charge and a ton of tasty drinks to be consumed, so check ‘em out right around 7.

If you find yourself in the Portsmouth area tonight don’t miss a Portland’s own eyenine as he lights up the stage of the Thirsty Moose Tap House with his unique brand of alternative, underground hip hop. Tonight’s show gets started at 8 with an opening set courtesy of The Lonely Ghost Collective.

It’s the end of an era this Thursday as A Band Beyond Description plays its last weekly gig at The Big Easy on Market Street in Portland tonight. Your last chance to noodle it out on the dance floor of the Big Easy with these fellas who share their love of the Grateful Dead starts at 9 o’clock. 

Bruce in the USA, a tribute to the one and only Bruce Springsteen, takes to the stage of Port City Music Hall in Portland tonight to celebrate the music of The Boss. Get your patriotic rock on starting at 9 this Thursday. 

Kilcollins will be pop-rockin’ all night long down at RiRa on Commercial Street this thirsty Thursday. Starting at the fellas will be busting out all sorts of tunes that you know in love alongside some catchy original stuff. Tonight’s show is free, so check it out if you’re downtown this evening.

Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland brings you some loud, live, and in-your-face progressive rock to properly celebrate your thirsty Thursday as they welcome local act Bates Motel to the stage for a free show which gets underway right around 9. 

One-woman-multi-instrumentalist, Audrey Ryan will be playing a show at Blue on Congress Street in Portland this Thursday. You can check out Audrey’s unique musical meanderings beginning at 9.

Hello Newman is ready once again to pump out the jams with a free night of fun upstairs at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port. These dudes will be rockin’ all of your favorite 90s tunes starting right around 9:30. There’s never a cover charge and it’s always a whole lot of fun, so swing through if you’re feeling a bit nostalgic this Thursday evening.

Get on down to Gritty’s in the Old Port to check out Vinyl Tap as they cover everything from Sir Elton to The Beatles, Cee Lo, the Grateful Dead, Stevie Wonder and many, many more. If you’re looking for a non-stop dance party, then swing through as they start playing at 9:30 and there’s never, ever a cover.

Local Americana gypsy-rock act, Muddy Ruckus & The Burners will be lighting up the stage at Brian Boru this thirsty Thursday evening. Get ready to stomp your feet and have some fun as things get underway upstairs right around 9:30.

Local drummer Chicky Stoltz will be drumming up some action (see what I did there?) with a free show at Sonny’s in Portland this Thursday evening. Chicky’s music is both dark and charming and shifts between bar blues and Americana, so be sure to check him out tonight as things get underway right around 10 o’clock in the Sonny’s lounge.
