We’re making some serious strides towards the weekend as we’re already geared up to hurdle this hump and move on into Wednesday night. If you’re looking to make some mid-week party plans I am more than happy to assist. Here are the haps for your Wednesday evening!

Portland-based singer-songwriter, Connor Garvey will be bringing his own brand of acoustic folk-rock blended with a touch of soul to the stage of Gather on Main Street in Yarmouth this evening. Check out Connor as he performs a set of songs starting at 6:30pm.

Gingko Blue on Fore Street in Portland is ready for some fun courtesy of pianist Charles Brown and company. Beginning at 7:30 check out tonight’s free show featuring Charles Brown on piano and vocals alongside some of his talented pals on bass, guitar, drums, trumpet, sax, and percussion.

Wednesday night means it’s time again for some open mic action down to Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland where you can check out local musicians as they do their thing or you can even sign up to play some tunes of your own. Every Wednesday starting right around 8, local singer-songwriter Dustin Saucier hosts this free and fun event.

Check out The Hive in Kennebunk’s monthly jazz jam with jazz musician, composer and teacher Chris Humphrey. Humphrey will take to the stage alongside the rest of his trio for an evening of jazz and jams, which all are welcome to participate in. Check it out if you’re in the area this evening as things get underway right around 8.

If you’re up in Bar Harbor this Wednesday be sure to swing though Lompoc Café where psychedelic indie rock act Coke Weed will be performing tonight. The good vibes start vibrating right around 8 o’clock.

Maybe you’re in need of mid-week belly laugh, if so make your way down to Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port for tonight’s Portland Comedy Showcase featuring James Spizuoco, Mark Turcotte and many more. The show starts at 8 o’clock so go on and get your laugh on.

The Clash of the Titans invites you to take a trip back to the 90s tonight as two sultry ladies duke it out for this week’s battle of the cover band at Empire on Congress Street. Things are going to get steamy as Janet Jackson takes on Paula Abdul starting right around 9 o’clock.

Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland has an acoustic-based Wednesday night party for you to check out as three local artists take to the stage to perform tunes all night long. Starting at 9 you can check out music from Owen Davis, Greg Dagget and Craig Rogers. Tonight’s show is free and bound to be fun, so stop by and check it out if you’re downtown this evening.
