Portland beer week alternative: bangor’s maine harvest festival
Portland Beer Week runs through Sunday, but if you find yourself north of the big city, you have an alternative. The Maine Harvest Festival in Bangor is this weekend, and in addition to culinary events, demonstrations, and seminars, there are plenty of beer and wine vendors to sample.
Kids are welcome and admission to the event is just $5 at the door. I’m thinking it might be the perfect way to sample the wares and pick the brains of some of Maine’s brightest and best known food and beverage personalities. Maybe I’ll see you there!
Maine Harvest Festival
When: Saturday, Nov. 10 – Sunday, Nov. 11
Time: 10a – 4p
Cost: $5, kids 10 and under free
