New Date! Eve’s “Aphrodisiacs of Greece and Italy” rescheduled for February 22.
Another casualty of Nemo’s wrath last weekend was “Aphrodisiacs of Greece and Italy,” the latest installment of the International Dinner Series at Eve’s at the Garden. Good news! You’ve got another chance to learn a thing or two about the foods of love.
The menu looks…well, let’s just say it looks like Executive Chef Tim Labonte knows a thing or two about putting passion into his cooking. On a number of different levels.
Oysters. Artichokes. Olives. Eggs. Asparagus. They’re all historically believed to grease the wheels of love, and this Mediterranean menu has them all. If the ingredients themselves don’t work their magic for you, I’m fairly sure Chef Labonte’s preparations will. The wine pairings, chosen and presented by Wine Wise’s Erica Archer shouldn’t hurt either.
Seats are still available! Get your tickets through Brown Paper Tickets. $70 per person gets you dinner, wine, tax/gratuity, and valet parking in their covered garage, which I wouldn’t normally mention but hey, it’s kind of a big deal when you don’t know when the next storm of the century is going to hit.
January’s dinner sold out and the next one isn’t until the end of March, so don’t miss out!

Erin Dow
Erin Dow is a caterer who used to cook for rock stars. Now she finds herself desperately trying to persuade her three kids to just try one bite of what she made for dinner. She's the Expert Chef for Maine-based Guiding Stars® and she consults with the state's public schools on how to serve healthy whole foods that kids will actually eat. And when Erin’s not researching, preparing, serving, photographing, teaching, or writing about food, you’ll probably find her in a restaurant eating a meal cooked by someone else. So she just might be the girl you need to know if you're looking for recommendations, advice, or insight into Maine's food scene. She's also very knowledgeable about firearms, in case you were wondering if she's a real Mainer.// From Twitter
