The Maine Dish

Bored with lunch? soup boutique truck is coming to downtown portland 12.4-12.6

Outside the snow’s blowing and I’m starting to get a hankering for the warm winter meals that get me through the interminable Maine winter like the one we’re facing. Soup’s high on my list of essential cold weather foods, so I was stoked to see that Hood Cream’s Soup Boutique is rolling into downtown Portland just in the nick of time.

Next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday you’ll be able to snag a premium sample of a soup created by The Farmer’s Table’s own Chef Jeff Landry and you’ll also have a a chance to pick up product coupons and recipe cards. The best part is that Hood will donate $1 to a local food bank for every sample they hand out, so you can help fill some bellies while you fill your own.

Find out where you can catch the truck on Facebook or use the Twitter hashtag #HoodSoupTruck. You can also enter into a drawing online to win a $100 restaurant gift certificate, cookware, and a cookbook.

Hope to see you there!
