How to save money at Target – Day #4 Target Red Card

Want to know how you can save 5% on every single purchase you make at Target? Well then, pull up a chair and pour yourself a glass of wine, because I’m about to show you how in today’s installment of the “How to save money at Target” series.

If you are just tuning into this series…here’s what you missed:

Day 1: Printable Coupons
Day 2: Mobile Coupons
Day 3: Gift Card Promotions

You know what’s really annoying? When you are checking out a store and the cashier tries to get you to sign up for their credit card/loyalty card/reward program. It’s like..”Listen lady, I just want my tampons and tube socks and I wanna get out of here…I don’t want your stinking card!”. Ok, well that’s usually what I’M thinking anyway. But there is one exception to that rule…and it’s the Target RedCard.

The Target RedCard is a debit or credit card that saves you 5% on your entire Target purchase each time it’s used. As another bonus,  Target RedCard holders get FREE shipping on orders from….which comes in handy around this time of the year!

To get a Target RedCard, just visit the customer service desk at your local Target (or take the cashier up on her offer) and let them know that you’d like to apply for the Target RedCard. You can also apply online.  You can choose to either sign up for a Target RedCard Credit Card or a Debit Card (comes directly out of your bank account.) I highly suggest going the debit card route, because credit cards are dangerous 😉

Now, each time you use your Target RedCard, an automatic 5% will be taken off your total.

Bonus: Target RedCard holders will have early access to Black Friday deals online!
