Newz by The Nunz

From folk music at Bull Feeney’s to hip hop at The Big Easy, Wednesday’s got something for everyone!

Happy Hump Day, you guys! It seems as if we’re flying right on into the freakin’ weekend and I am absolutely fine with that! Only a week or so until it’s time to gorge ourselves with tons of food and pull on some Party Sweatpants, so let’s check out what this Wednesday has in store for us this evening.

The Squid Jiggers return to the stage of Bull Feeney’s this evening with their own brand of folk music that’s infused with barley, sugar, years and hops, basically some good ol’ fashioned drinking music!  Tonight the fellas get the good times rollin’ right around 8 o’clock.

If you’re looking for some open mic action this evening, check out Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge over on Preble Street in Portland where you can check out some up and coming musicians or even sign up to play some tunes of your own.  It’s free, hosted by local singer-songwriter Dustin Saucier, and gets underway right around 8pm.

The Clash of the Titans continues upstairs at Empire Dine and Dance in Portland tonight with two dudes with very similar names.  Tonight alt-country rocker Ryan Adams goes head to head with the 80s/90s rock super star Bryan Adams to see who will win this week’s Clash Crown.  As usual things get crankin’ right around 9.

If you’re looking for some beats and rhymes to work it out to this Wednesday then make your way over to The Big Easy in Portland where Rap Night is proud to present The Go High Lion Tour featuring Ecid, eyenine, Prhym8, and El Shupacabra. Hosted by Ill By Instinct, tonight’s show will also feature the legendary Hip Hop Open Mic to end the evening.  Things get fresh starting right around 9 o’clock.
