Nothing makes me smile wider than knowing that we’ve made it all the way to Thursday. Of course, Thursday isn’t as grand as say, Friday, but it’s still pretty frickin’ delightful in its own right, and so therefore dredges up plenty of reasons to celebrate. There are also plenty of places to congregate during said celebration, so check out this list of to-dos for this evening and get to it, my babies!

Across the street at Local Sprouts Cooperative local ladies, Pretty Girls Sing Soprano will be filling the space with beautiful sounds and songs. Since their inception Pretty Girls Sing Soprano have quickly turned heads with their tight, clever and original harmonies. You can check them out starting at 7 o’clock.
Let the Tony Boffa Band transport you back in time with some old school jazz at the Frog and Turtle in Westbrook this evening. Starting at 7 o’clock, enjoy some tasty food and beverage as this 5-piece local act gets things swinging.
A great night of music will be happening at One Longfellow Square in Portland tonight as a triple bill of acoustic folk acts take to the stage starting right around 7:30. Tonight you can check out avant-folk duo Aborea alongside Boston’s folk act, Tall Heights and Nashville singer-songwriter, Peter Bradley Adams.
Get a little jazzy this Thursday evening down at Gingko Blue on Fore Street in Portland where Hot Club Du Monde will be bringing their stringed gypsy-jazz to life right around 8 o’clock. Tonight’s show is free and sure to be swinging, so check it out if you’re hanging around the Old Port tonight.

Jacksonville’s soulful Southern rock band JJ Grey & Mofro make a stop into Portland tonight for a show at Port City Music Hall. Tonight these funky blues rockers join forces with New Orleans’ act Revivalists for a night of good times and good tunes. Things get crankin’ right around 8 o’clock this Thursday evening.
If you’re in the Bangor area tonight, head over to Tantrum where prog-rock act, The 220s will be playing. This trio of talented dudes take their influences from The Beatles to Pink Floyd to Radiohead and create something that is truly all their own, check ‘em out starting at 8 tonight.
If you’re south of Portland tonight, in the Seacoast area, and in dire need of some high-energy rock n’ roll then luck no further than the Thirsty Moose Tap House in Portsmouth where local act Red Sky Mary will be blasting off into the RnR stratosphere right around 9 o’clock.
The Big Easy in Portland’s regular Thursday crowd will be shuffling in right around 9 o’clock for this week’s Band Beyond Description show. Beginning at 9:30 Kilcollins plans on rockin’ you with all sorts of tunes that you know in love alongside a handful of catchy original tunes that should become certain favorites.
