All right time start getting wicked festive by putting those Party Pants to extremely good use this Tuesday evening. I dare you, especially after you see what tonight holds in store for those of you who are not afraid of making Santa’s Naughty List!

Get ready to kick up your heels and drink a pint or two at The Thirsty Pig on Exchange Street in Portland tonight as Matt Meyer and The Gumption Junction gear up for a rollicking live show that gets underway at 7. The fellas will be serving up some rootsy, old timey mountain music for you to stomp your feet to.

Tonight One Longfellow Square in Portland is proud to announce a fantastic evening of music and merriment to help sponsor University of Souther Maine students in their efforts to bring medical care to several villages in the Dominic Republic. Beginning at 7:30, local piano pop-rocker Kris Rodgers as well as the awesome roots acoustic act, The Ghost of Paul Revere, will take the stage to help benefit rural health in the DR. It should a fantastic night of music from which the proceeds will help assist USM students as they volunteer their time to help families in severe need in a third world country.

Bust out your best Hawaiian shirt and get ready for another super smooth evening over at Empire Dine and Dance on Congress Street in Portland, as another edition of Yacht Blooded will be taking place downstairs. Things get cranking right around 8 o’clock and you can anticipate some smooth 70s AM radio jams to take you away this Tuesday evening. It’s fun and it’s free, so why not check it out?

Local indie rock act GinLab returns to the stage of the Big Easy in Portland tonight to commemorate an entire year of making music together by bringing it back to the place it all began. Tonight they’ll celebrate the release of their new EP as well as cover Radiohead’s classic album Kid A from front to back. This is actually the second time these cats have rocked this particular Radiohead album for Cover to Cover and tonight they’ll rock it just as hard with some special guests. Things get started with a set of originals off of GinLab’s new record followed by their tribute to Kid A in its entirety. Join the party starting at 9 o’clock.
