Get the Led out at The Asylum with a ton of local acts performing the songs of Zeppelin

If you’re looking to shake your cranberry jelly belly to some awesome tunes this Friday evening, there’s a ton of terrific stuff happening all over tonight! Get outta those sweats and into those Party Pants and work it on out tonight!

If you’re looking to take in some tunes a little earlier this evening, then head on over to Blue on Congress Street in Portland where local artist Scott Link will be performing an acoustic set alongside special guest Joe Brien beginning at 6 o’clock.

If you’re feeling a little Phishy this evening then head on over to Port City Music Hall on Congress Street in Portland where Phish tribute band, Pardon Me, Doug will be playing some jams to keep you noodling all night long. Featuring members of Heavy Dime, The Project, Giraffe Attack and more, these guys are ready to make you lose your head starting right around 8.

The Coloradas continue the celebration of their new record, Big Empty, with a show down in southern Maine at The Hive in Kennebunk this Friday evening. Beginning at 8 o’clock The Coloradas will team up with local singer-songwriter Joseph Aaskov for an evening filled with finely crafted country-blues crooners. The party starts at 8 o’clock and tonight’s show is absolutely free, so be sure to swing through and check things out if you’re in the area.

Three-time Grammy Award winner and contemporary folk music icon Tom Chapin will be serving up a mix of stories and songs starting at 8 o’clock at One Longfellow Square in Portland this Friday evening.

Work off that turkey by banging your head at tonight’s show at Mathew’s on Free Street in Portland. Starting at 8 things are going to get loud with local punk rock and thrash acts such as Laces Out, Cuss, Antiseptic, Gravel and more.

43 North are ready to rock your Friday night with some modern country tunes tinged with just a little bit of classic rock up at Mixers in Sabbatus. This free show gets underway right around 9 o’clock.

It is always a good time to get the Led out and you can do just that this Friday by heading down to The Asylum in Portland for this year’s Thank you event, which is a tribute to the one and only Led Zeppelin. Beginning at 9 a ton of local acts including Murcielago, John Nels, Kris Rodgers, The Ghost of Paul Revere, Whale Oil, Clara Junken and a ton more will take to the stage to perform the songs of one of the most revered rock n’ roll bands of all time.

Even more in the way of rock n’ roll will be happening over at Geno’s Rock Club on Congress Street in Portland as three high-energy RnR bands take to the stage to energize your Friday night. Starting at 9, check out the full-on volume assault of Triage as well as the old school rock sensibilities and the Kip Brown Kronikles and the heavy metal sounds of the one and only Hessian.

The fellas of North of Nashville and Tricky Britches are teaming up to party down tonight at Empire on Congress Street. Get ready for some toe-tapping, good ol’ fashioned bluegrass and country jams as these guys kick things off starting at 9 o’clock.

If you’re in the mood for some Drum and Bass action this Friday evening, then make your way over to Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland where the Digital Mercenaries will be blasting the best dub, drum & bass, and hip-hop jams all night long beginning at 9.

Gingko Blue on Fore Street in Portland has all the soulful blues you’ll need to get your weekend started as they welcome Poke Chop & The Other White Meats to the stage for a night of music, which gets underway at 9 o’clock.

The Dapper Gents will be rocking out some fun folk-pop at Sea Dog Brewing in South Portland this evening. Grab some friends, drink some beers and enjoy some tunes starting at 9.

Things are going to get funky and fun up in Waterville tonight as Rustic Overtones and The Kenya Hall Band get things going with a show at Mainely Brews. Starting at 9:30 you can expect healthy doses of funk, soul, and rock n’ roll from these two heavy hitting local acts.

If you’re kicking it in the Old Port this Friday evening, you can check out local rock/singer-songwriter Matt Fournier over at Bull Feeney’s on Fore Street where he’ll be playing some acoustic tunes starting right around 9:30.

Over at Brian Boru in the Old Port you can work off some of your Turkey Day dinner by busting a move to alt-rock power trio Walkenhorse who’ll be performing a free show upstairs starting at 9:30.

KGFREEZE frontman, Kyle Gervais will be donning his DJ hat this evening as his spins tunes over at Sonny’s in the Old Port. Starting at 10 o’clock pair a tasty beverage with some tasty tunes as KG plays stuff you love and stuff you didn’t know you loved.
