Now that’s how you do a weekend! But now it’s time to get back into the groove. No need to sulk or have a meltdown now that the work week is upon us as there are plenty of fun things to get down to this week. Here are the haps for Monday.

Beginning at 6 Max and a few of his musically inclined pals will plays some sweet song while you enjoy a delicious bar menu and half-priced wine list.
North of Portland, at Pedro O’Hara’s in Lewiston, you can check out pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky as he hosts another acoustic mic that gets underway around 6:30 this Monday evening. If you’re looking to play some songs or just take in some tunes, this will be the place to be tonight.
Jazz Night continues down at MJ’s Wine Bar at One City Center in Portland as the venue welcomes a trio of local musicians to perform this evening. This house band is open to having other musicians sit in and jam with them, so keep that in mind if you’re into jazzing things up a bit with some talented folks. Things get started right around 7 o’clock.
If you’re down in southern Maine this Monday be sure to check out a very fun open mic that takes place at the Kerrymen Pub in Saco this evening. Starting at 7:30 musicians and bands are encouraged to take the stage where there’s a full set up of amps and drums to be played at tonight’s event hosted by Chris Bailey. It’s free, fun and great way to show off your musical prowess, so check it out if you’re in the area this evening.
Take in some quality, local bluegrass and grab a slice of some of the best pizza in town at Otto on Congress Street in Portland where local picker Joe Walsh and a handful of his friends will be providing a mighty fine Monday soundtrack for ya starting right around 8 o’clock this evening.
If you’ve got a hankering for even more free, fun stuff to check out this Monday, then head out to the open mic night that’s happening over at RiRa on Commercial Street in Portland. Every Monday starting right around 8 Evan Walsh hosts his own version of an adult talent show in the form of a free open mic night. EvGuy even has instruments available for people to play, and even if you can’t actually play said instruments, he’ll help you out by jamming out a decent version of a song for you to sing!
Local singer-songwriter Ed DesJardins will be putting on a special solo performance at Slates in Hallowell tonight. Starting at 8 o’clock you’ll have the opportunity to experience his thought provoking songs in this intimate setting where it’ll be just him a piano and a guitar, so check it out if you’re up that way this Monday evening.
Every Monday night right through the middle of April, you can warm up with Royal Hammer as they throw down some raging reggae at Local 188 in Portland. Starting at 10 you can full throttle into Monday with the Hammer as they play for free this evening.
