Drop it like it's hot at Open Decks Night at Flask Lounge

Holy Hannah Montana Miley Cyrus! (Another stellar catch phrase; you’re welcome.) I don’t know what the heck happened but it definitely felt like Monday drop kicked me in the face and busted a bunch of my chompers, so today I feel like I’m literally sporting veneers and giving Tuesday the biggest, toothiest grin I can muster. You gotta keep on pushing if you want to wear those Party Pants proudly, so let’s see where we can sport ‘em this evening.

Vaudevillian act, Dark Follies will be putting on a show over at the Gorham Grind this evening. Of course there’ll be plenty of delicious coffee and a very special espresso drink concocted just for this evening’s occasion, so check it out if you’re in the area starting at 6pm.

If you find yourself north of Portland this Tuesday evening, folk-rocker Brian Patricks will be playing a handful of original tunes paired with classic songs that everyone knows and loves over at Fast Breaks in Lewiston. Patricks begins his set right around 7pm.

If you’re feeling a Phishy this evening then head on over to The Loft on Forest Ave in Portland where the Phish tribute band Pardon Me, Doug will be playing some jams all night long. Featuring members of Heavy Dime, The Project, Giraffe Attack and more, these guys are ready to make you lose your head starting right around 8 o’clock.

Empire Dine and Dance on Congress Street in Portland gets super smooth tonight as Yacht Blooded: A Live Smooth 70s AM Radio Party returns to the stage. Starting right around 8 you can check out many songs that you know all the words to – whether you really want to admid it or not. Anticipate covers of Hall and Oates, Ambrosia, Gerry Rafferty and more. It happens every Tuesday night downstairs and there’s never a cover charge, so stop on by and check it out.

Another edition of Drop It: Open Decks Night is happening once again at Flask Lounge in Portland.  Starting at 9, you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open tables, all you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones! This event is absolutely free-of-charge and always a good time, so go on and check it out.

Another freebie to check out is over at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge as DJ Ponyfarm presents another fun-filled evening of karaoke. You can be your own rock star and show Slainte what’s up by belting out your favorite pop tuns right around 9 o’clock tonight.

If you wanna take some time out this Tuesday night and chill out to some experimental jazz that mosey on over to Local 188 on Congress Street this evening where the Jaw Gems will be doing their thing from 10 o’clock until closing time.
