So here we are, it’s Tuesday, we made it out of Monday alive (although I suspect most of you had it off from work), and in the words of Creedence Clearwater Revival, we gotta keep on chooglin’. So strap on your rage shoes, hike up your party pants, and choogle away, my babies. Let’s Tuesday!
Award-winning folk artist Anni Clark will be playing some songs tonight up at Fast Breaks in Lewiston. Clark will be bringing her acoustic 12-string up to the stage for some original tunes starting at 7. If you’re up in the area, be sure to stop by and check it out.
Another Tuesday night means that Empire Dine and Dance on Congress Street will be getting all kinds of smooth with Yacht Blooded: A Live Smooth 70s AM Radio Party. Starting right around 8 you can check out local musicians, Scott Girouard and Will Gattis as they team up to do covers by Ambrosia, Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald and many more. Yacht Blooded happens every Tuesday night downstairs at The Empire. It’s free, fun and a sure fire smooth way to spend your Tuesday evening.
Oh man, I have a feeling tonight’s Cover to Cover down at The Big Easy in Portland is going to be one for the books as Portland’s own Covered in Bees is ready to blow the doors off the place. Tonight Covered in Bees will be paying tribute to one of their all-time favorite records, The Dead Milkmen’s Beezlebubba. Not only will the fellas be playing this classic punk album in its entirety, but they’ll also be kicking things off with a set of their own original tunes starting at 9 o’clock. So hike up your Party Pants, do some stretches, and get ready to be blown away this Tuesday.
Maybe you’re looking to drink a couple cocktails and belt out your favorites 90s song tonight. Well then look no further than Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge as DJ Ponyfarm presents another fun-filled evening of karaoke. Stop by and sing it out starting right around 9 o’clock tonight.
Over at Flask Lounge in Portland another edition of Drop It: Open Decks will be taking place. Starting at 9 o’clock you can sign for a slot DJing on some open tables. All you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones! Tonight DJ Matty T of ATOMIK as well as DJ SERATO will provide opening sets of tunes to get things going. The event is absolutely free-of-charge and always a good time, so go on and check it out.
If you’re looking to take some time out this Tuesday and just chill with some experimental jazz then mosey on over to Local 188 on Congress Street where the Jaw Gems will be doing their thing from 10 o’clock until closing time.
