Be thankful, The Ghost of Paul Revere serves up tasty tunes over at The Dogfish Bar & Grille

By: Holly Nunan

Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you, I hope most of you are well on your way to experiencing a full blown food coma and had the foresight to travel with sweat pants today, just in case loosening the old belt wasn’t enough to help aide digestion.  Lots to be thankful for today considering we live in a state where there is no shortage of good music and good people!  Enjoy your day…and your leftovers.

If you’re looking to take in some good tunes this Turkey Day evening then head on over to The Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free Street in Portland where the super talented fellas in The Ghost of Paul Revere will be doing their thing.  They get things rolling right around 8 tonight with stringed tunes, soaring voices and foot stomping melodies. Rumor has it they’ve been conjuring up a new album, so keep your ears open even if your belly is still full.

Kind of a slow going evening as far as live music is concerned, but there is another show happening up in Hallowell this evening with the dead ahead, high-energy, 4-piece dance-your-butt-off rock and roll band known as The Worthy Bones.  The fellas will help you dance off those Thanksgiving Day calories with an energetic set that gets underway right around 9 o’clock tonight over at the Kennebec Wharf.

Short and sweet today, so be sure to call ahead before you head out this evening just to make sure your favorite party spot is open!
