A Great Big World takes to the stage of Port City Music Hall tonight

All right, one day down, four to go! Some of you might’ve even had today off, so why not enjoy some local tunes and let loose this evening? Here are some sights and sounds to ease you on into another working week.

This Monday evening you’ll find Mike Krapovicky of local rock act The Grumps hosting another free open mic night up at Pedro O’Hara’s in Lewiston. Grab an instrument and get ready to play some tunes starting right around 6:30.

Check out some quality bluegrass and grab a slice of ‘za down at Otto on Congress Street in Portland where local picker Joe Walsh and a handful of his friends will be providing a mighty fine soundtrack to your evening starting right around 8 o’clock.

A Great Big World brings their piano-drive pop act to the stage of Port City Music Hall in Portland this Monday evening. Things get underway at 8pm.

More in the way of great bluegrass music will be happening a bit further south of Portland at The Oak and The Ax on Main Street in Biddeford where The Devil Makes Three guitarist Pete Bernhard strikes out on his own tonight with a solo set of tunes. Opening the event will be the Portland, Oregon’s multi-instrumentalist Marisa Anderson, who’ll be getting things started right around 8 o’clock.

Another free event to check out tonight is happening down at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland where DJ Spencer will be busting out all of the greatest 90s dance jams for you to shake your can to. Tonight’s party gets underway right around 10.
