What to wear on Saturday's Tweed Ride

The year’s most fashionable event in Portland is taking place this Saturday, the Tweed Ride, where your sole purpose is to cycle in style. Still on the fence about what to sport? I’ve got some outfit ideas for you.
FOR THE CLASSY GENT
1/
A newsboy cap so you can tip your hat 2/ A bowtie from Maine-made Mizu 3/ Surely no shoe is as stylish as a Saddle, this style is from Eastland 4/ Every gentleman requires a pocket watch, after all, you don’t want to be late 5/ A silk pocket square gives your tweed blazer that extra something 6/ Forgo instagram and instead take photos with a camera from yesteryear 7/ Hike up your pants and show off some argyle socks 7/ A three-piece tweed suit is the anchor to a truly dapper dude. This one is from Bonobo’s but you can hit up a local Goodwill and cross your fingers

FOR THE DAPPER DAME
1/ Nothing says “I ride in style” like a faux fur stole  2/ Just imagine this tweed cape flapping elegantly behind you in the wind 3/ Announce your arrival with a brass vintage bike bell 4/ In case of a crisp day, elbow length gloves are the perfect blend of warmth and wiliness 5/ Don’t let a flat tire ruin a perfectly good tweed ride– bring a tire pump from days of yore. 6/ A proper pair of tweed trousers for a lady that likes to race. 7/ A chic pair of boots from Bliss that have a vintage appeal but look just as cool today.
