Win a trip to NY Fashion Week and a $1,000 shopping spree

By: Laura Serino

I piqued your interest, didn’t I? I’m reppin’ the 207 in H&M’s “50 States of Style” and I want you to partake. If you do, you might just get to go to New York Fashion Week. And I don’t even get to go so I’ll need you to take notes!

H&M has launched their online shop and they kindly sent me this lovely skirt (merci bien, H&M!) which is available here. I’m also wearing an old H&M top that I bought a bazillion years ago and loafers from Moody Lords. I SHOULD be wearing this sweatshirt though.

So here’s the dealio. We need to represent MAINE in this whole national fashion contest. Before you can be a finalist to win a $1,000 gift card and a trip to New York Fashion Week – you must become a finalist!

Here’s what you need to do:

- Upload a photo of yourself in some H&M garb on Instagram using the hashtag #HMShopOnlineME for a chance to win a $250 H&M gift card as a finalist or the grand prize of a trip to NYC and shopping spree of $1,000 to H&M! GAH!!!

- Visit the microsite and browse the gallery of entries, “like” your favorite looks. I know I’ll be voting for you all! A ton! Official rules are right here.

That’s it! Every entry will end up on the site and voting will begin immediately. After a three-week submission period the semi-finalists will be determined, it will be the five most “liked” photos from each state. At that point an expert panel of style blogger judges, each representing one of the five US regions, Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and West, will select a winner from their region. So who’s it gonna be from the Northeast?! Well, Maine of course.

a skirts “twirliness” is important

H&M will then determine one grand prize winner. And I certainly hope it’s someone from Maine. Pressure is on people! Pressure is on!

Oh and in case any of you questioned my true “cat lady” status, here is a photo of me with a strange cat that followed me around while taking photos. I have a gift.
