Fore Front Fashion
Freeport Thrift Shop
I’m feeling generous today. So generous in fact, that I’m willing to divulge one of my secret thrifting spots in Southern Maine. Not far from the chaos of the Freeport outlets and minutes from the flagship L.L.Bean Store lies a little hidden gem in the Freeport Community Center. It’s a tiny, two-floor thrift shop that, on a good day, has been home to some of the best vintage and consigned pieces I’ve ever found. Here’s what I got on a recent trip.
The lower level is home to men’s clothes, kid’s clothes and furniture. I tend to look for sweaters for myself solely in the men’s section of the store. I like my wool sweaters oversized and since men tend to dry their sweaters on high heat (this is a fact people, I’m not judging) I can also find some great styles in sizes that actually fit me. I immediately scooped up this L.L.Bean Boot sweater and 80′s nordic ski crewneck.
This sweater did not fit over my head but GOOD GOD did I want it. It’s also a great place to pick up some vintage coats (I found a fantastic Woolrich blazer on my last trip).
A quilted plaid barn coat for a mere $5…with leather buttons.
I did grab this cross-body sequin bag. Too good to resist. It’ll be the perfect size to bring to holiday parties.

I apologize to all the avid thrifters who are collectively reading this post and slapping their foreheads. But to all of you slow clapping me outta here? You’re welcome.
