I have things in my closet that I just don’t wear. It’s a shame really. Anytime the I-have-nothing-to-wear feeling hits me, I head out to a local shop or to Goodwill to find something to ease the pain. I’m like an addict. Over the weekend, with the spirit of the new year at my heels, I decided to take a good hard look at my closet.
Here’s the challenge I presented myself with. I decided to take time on Sunday night to create an entire week’s worth of outfits that would incorporate items I haven’t worn in ages. I’ve heard from some of you that this is something you do every week. I bow to you.
There’s a few items I have that I really do love, but never wear. I decided that if I couldn’t put an outfit together with it, I’d put it into a donate or sell pile. After a half hour of rummaging through my clothes, I have to say, I came up with some pretty cute looks. I took photos of all the outfits (nerding out) and also wrote them down so I wouldn’t forget (okay- now I’m geeking out).
Now the challenge remains – will I be able to stick to my clothing plan for the week? Or revert back to my go-to’s?
I’ll let you know how I do next week. Until then – I encourage you all to try this experiment too. And let’s talk about it on Facebook!
