30 beers, 30 cheeses, $30

By: Shannon Bryan

Annual Beer and Cheese Tasting

12-5 pm Sat, Jan 19 | $30 | Vignola Cinque Terre, Portland

Say cheese. And beer!

It’s a hard truth to accept: We’re not going to live forever. Except Betty White. She’ll live forever (turned 91 on Wednesday, you know). The rest of us have to make do with the days we’ve got. The best way to do that is to spend as much time surrounded by the people and things we love. Especially the things. Things like beer. And cheese.

Chef Lee Skawinski of Portland’s Vignola Cinque Terre gets it. Hence his annual Beer and Cheese Tasting. Picture it: 30 beers, 30 cheeses, $30. Yes, just $30. Local brews include Allagash, Oxbow, Rising Tide, and Maine Beer Co. And let’s no forget the spread of artisan American and European cheeses. This buffet of all things wonderful takes place Saturday from 12-5 pm.

Sounds good, no? Maybe like you’re in heaven already? Surrounded by the best dairy product you know? And look! There’s Grandma Ginny, sipping a Peeper Ale!

If you don’t want this opportunity to pass you by, and, quite frankly, your life in general, be sure to reserve your spot: 207.772.1330 or reservations@vignolamaine.com.
